We know change is the only constant in life - 2020 has certainly been upholding that old adage! And that includes things here at the Orono Public Library. We are excited to share news that our own Louise Jolliffe is transitioning from Youth Services Librarian to Circulation Manager! Louise is replacing Wendy Neary, who is embarking on a new adventure with her family, moving across the pond to Ireland. Also, our Youth Services Clerk Janette Landis is moving on, leaving the library after many years of dedicated service. We will miss Wendy and Janette a ton, and we wish them both the best, always. With that being said, the position of Youth Services Librarian is available. If you or someone else you know is interested, please visit the link for application information.
In light of all of the changes, Youth Services programming will be taking a little pause this summer while we focus on curbside pickup and filling the Youth Services Librarian position. We hope to bring you lots of fun Youth Services again in the very near future!
We hope that you will spend much of your summer outside, enjoying the beauty of Maine, and reading! But in case it rains, here are a just a few of the many things that are available to you free online while schools and libraries are closed.
